Nancy Pelosi Promotes Policy Adviser

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced Wednesday that policy adviser Lori Pepper was promoted to the position of deputy director of floor operations.

Pepper replaces Catlin O’Neill, now Pelosi’s personal office chief of staff, in that role. Pepper previously advised Pelosi on domestic policy issues and serves as a liaison to the Blue Dog and New Democrat coalitions.

“Over the past year, Lori’s hard work and talent have been invaluable on my staff, and I am proud that she will serve as Deputy Director of Floor Operations,” Pelosi said in a statement. “In this new position, she will continue to work with members of the Blue Dog Coalition, New Democrat Coalition, and the entire Democratic Caucus to create jobs, grow our economy and responsibly reduce the deficit.”
