The deficit reduction panel holds its second meeting. Doug Elmendorf of the CBO will testify.

New York Special Election

This Queens-based Congressional district should be a solid Democratic seat. Anthony Weiner held it since 1999, but the GOP is poised for an upset.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is hosting a fundraiser for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the Arizona Democrat recovering from a January shooting.

Fundraiser for Rep. James Clyburn

A breakfast fundraiser for the South Carolina Democrat is being held at J.C. Watts Companies, according to a fundraising list maintained by the Sunlight Foundation.
