DCCC September Fundraising Bests NRCC

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee outraised its Republican counterpart in September, according to figures released today.

The DCCC, looking to pick up 25 seats next year to win back a House majority, raised $6.6 million, well ahead of the National Republican Congressional Committee’s $3.8 million haul. But the NRCC has more cash on hand and less debt.

At the end of September, the NRCC had $12.2 million on hand and $1.5 million in debt after paying off $1 million last month. The DCCC had $9.5 million on hand and $2 million in debt.

The DCCC raised $14.2 million in the third quarter and has brought in $47.9 million this year. The NRCC raised $10.7 million last quarter and $44.2 million on the year.
