The National Republican Congressional Committee will announce today a second round of candidates who have become “Contenders” in its four-level fundraising and infrastructure program for open-seat and challenger candidates.

Three candidates were added to the silver tier of the NRCC’s Young Guns program. The new “Contenders” are former Ambassador Ann Wagner in Missouri’s open 2nd district, former state Rep. Luke Messer in Indiana’s open 5th district and businessman Steve Daines in Montana’s open at-large district.

“With Americans desperate for change, these three candidates are determined to rein in reckless spending, cut taxes and return the economy back to a state of vitality,” NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (Texas) said in a statement.
