Rep. Tim Ryan’s Ohio Office Broken Into

Local law enforcement and the Capitol Police are investigating a break-in at the Warren, Ohio, office of Rep. Tim Ryan.

The Democrat’s district office, located on the first floor of the Regional Chamber Building, was “ransacked” early Sunday morning, according to a report provided by the Warren Police Department.

Between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., the report says, “subject[s] … busted out of a glass roof gaining entry into the building.”

In addition to Ryan’s first-floor office, offices on the second and third floors were also broken into. The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber occupies the second floor.

Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider confirmed that her team and that of the Warren Police Department were looking into the nature of the break-in, but she did not say what, if anything, had been taken.

Ryan Communications Director Crystal Patterson also confirmed the incident but did not elaborate on specifics.
