Chef-lebrity Spike Mendelsohn is so psyched to unveil his second Good Stuff Eatery, poised to start serving in mid-April just across the river in Crystal City, that he has cooked up a way for beef-crazed regulars to join the grand-opening ride: pay-to-play rewards.

Each visit will generate a six-digit code at the bottom of your receipt, with the corresponding spending subsequently tracked via your MyLoyalFamily.com account (one-time registration required).

There are more than 75 prizes up for grabs, including 162 VIP tickets to the April 14 invite-only debut of the Virginia-based GSE, custom dinner parties for six at either GSE location or WTP, a pair of tickets to Sound Bites (a music- and food-fueled fundraiser for DC Central Kitchen), two tickets to an in-the-works local “Burger Bash” and front-row seats at a Nationals game.

According to Venga President Winston Lord, there’s no spending cap — take that, McCain-Feingold! — so participants can theoretically stockpile points at will (i.e., by loading up on pies for the office, treating kids’ sports clubs to milkshakes, etc.).

Lord said other D.C. restaurants are hopping on the loyalty-program bandwagon, including Johnny’s Half Shell, where amassing points can lead to private oyster-shucking parties or road trips to Massachusetts oyster farms, Ping Pong Dim Sum (no active contests) and Taberna Del Alabardero (no active contests).
