Ohio Rep. Marcy Kaptur got an influx of campaign cash from fellow House Democrats in the final days before her primary victory Tuesday over Rep. Dennis Kucinich.

Rep. John Olver (D-Mass.), a longtime appropriator who serves on the panel with Kaptur and is retiring this year, cut her a check for $2,000, according to Federal Election Commission reports. The political action committees of Reps. Linda Sánchez (D-Calif.) and Corrine Brown (D-Fla.) also gave $1,000 each to Kaptur.

Rep. Bennie Thompson’s (D-Miss.) SECURE PAC gave Kaptur $2,000 just a couple of days before the primary. Also, Rep. Dan Lipinski’s (D-Ill.) re-election campaign sent her $1,000 a day later, per online records.

Kaptur handily defeated Kucinich for the Democratic nomination in the redrawn 9th district in northern Ohio, but her Congressional support provides a stark contrast with Kucinich. Kaptur’s most recent Member fundraising is in addition to earlier donations from her colleagues, but Kucinich didn’t receive a single transfer from a current Member this year.

Roll Call reported last week that Kaptur received $1,000 each from the re-election campaigns of two of her colleagues on the Appropriations Committee, Reps. David Price (D-N.C.) and Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.). Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin’s Prairie PAC also cut a $1,000 check to Kaptur.

The late Rep. Tom Lantos’ (D-Calif.) campaign gave $2,000 to Kucinich this year, and former Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) personally donated $2,500 to Kucinich in early March.
