Nab Free Smokes, Booze, Firearms

The Center for American Freedom is throwing a party for its new news project by giving away alcohol, tobacco and firearms!

The group is having an invite-only soiree at the Bayou for its latest project, the Washington Free Beacon website, on Thursday.

CAF Chairman Michael Goldfarb tells HOH that it will be “a real celebration of freedom,” with free cigarettes all over the joint, boxes of stogies up for raffle and, of course, freedom-themed cocktails.

The pièce de résistance? The CAF and the Free Beacon will be giving away a Remington R-25 semi-automatic rifle — in sexy camouflage — as the door prize!

“True fact,” Goldfarb tells HOH. “Pretty awesome, right?”

Indeed.

As far as we can tell, this model Remington is not legal in Washington, D.C., and Maryland, though it is just fine in Virginia.

“The D.C. gun laws are incomprehensible,” Goldfarb tells us.

So the group decided to get around any legal questions by not actually giving the firearm away at a party with an open bar, which is probably for the best.

“The gun will be transferred at an undisclosed location,” he says.

Of course it will.
