Next Wednesday, Washington’s prom committee will meet to start planning one hell of a party!

On March 5, both chambers agreed on S.Con.Res. 35, which would establish a Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.

Congressional party planners unite!

This week, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) appointed himself, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to be part of the planning committee.

On Wednesday, the Senate Rules and Administration Committee announced that the joint committee will hold an “organizational meeting” on Wednesday.

The inauguration — which we hope will be a “Together Forever” theme — will be Jan. 21.

No word on which lawmaker is in charge of punch and streamers.
