Wolff Spotting

Too bad the halls of the Capitol aren’t normally filled with easily excitable children, otherwise they might have been in a frenzy over an unexpected child celebrity sighting.

Alex Wolff, the 14-year-old best known for his work on the Nickelodeon TV show “The Naked Brothers Band,” was spotted with his father, jazz pianist and composer Michael Wolff, on Wednesday afternoon.

His appearance first piqued an HOH spy’s attention when their escort, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), said, “He’s a star!” A Cohen staffer confirmed that the Congressman was giving the Wolffs a tour of the Capitol.

Cohen led them into the House Press Gallery to watch floor debate. The young actor and musician, clad in skinny jeans and a blazer with rolled-up sleeves, didn’t seem too impressed with lawmakers’ pontificating: He was spotted leaning forward with his chin resting on his arms.

“The Naked Brothers Band,” a show about a fictional music group led by Alex Wolff and his older brother, Nat, ended in 2009. Since then, the Wolff brothers have performed together, and Alex Wolff has acted in TV shows such as “In Treatment.”
