After a week of teasing, Jacob Dale Drucker finally roared into the world early Saturday morning.

But the wee Drucker actually wasn’t all that wee. He arrived measuring a respectable 21 inches and weighing just shy of 9 pounds.

Jacob’s father, David, a Roll Call reporter, kept his newsroom email brief, only including his son’s stats in the subject line.

He was more chatty on Facebook.

“Like all of the biggest deals in Washington, Jacob Dale Drucker (Jake to his friends) arrived in the middle of the night,” Papa Drucker posted. “[B]orn Saturday, April 14, at 4:31 a.m. He weighed in at 8.8 lbs, 21 [inches].

“Jake and his mother, Jenny, are both beautiful and doing great,” he continued.

Congratulations to Jenny and David, and welcome to the world, little Drucker!
