Waxing Philosophic With the Weizel

What’s a contempt vote presser without political juggernaut Pauly Shore?

Pauly Shore interviews Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.)

House Democrats were luckily not forced to contemplate that terribly upsetting possibility this afternoon, as the MTV icon was armed and ready with a video camera and a puzzled look on his face as he buzzed around the circle of lawmakers who paraded onto the Capitol lawn amidst the GOP’s election-year posturing.

But he did manage to flag down Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) for a heart-to-heart that was incredibly light-hearted. The comedian asked the Congressman what all the commotion was about, to which Waxman responded with a very condensed recap of all the “Fast and Furious” drama so far.

“So, what do you think he’s hiding?” Shore innocently(?) inquired when the topic of  Attorney General Eric Holder’s info dump was broached.

“Nothing. I think he’s been rather forthcoming,” the incredulous Waxman stated.

The pol then played along with a quickie high-five, but he rebuffed the funnyman when he moved in for a hug.

“I like it when they try to keep me away from them,” Shore mused to his cameraman.

“Pauly-Tics” will be taped Saturday at the 9:30 Club. Admission for each show is $20. The special is expected to air on Showtime later this fall.
