First Lady Makes Surprise Visit at DNC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — First Lady Michelle Obama gave pre-convention staff and media a nice surprise when she popped into the Time Warner Cable Arena here.

She was spotted doing some television interviews though, we hear, she was there for a walk-through. Mrs. Obama is scheduled to be the keynote speaker on Tuesday, the convention’s opening night.

A couple of minutes before she showed up, we had some inkling that she was close when we looked up and saw this:
