House Majority PAC Hits Six Districts With Negative Ads

A Democratic super PAC will blitz six House districts with $2.2 million worth of television advertisements starting today.

House Majority PAC’s buy targets competitive races in California, Iowa, North Carolina, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin with tailored spots for each race.

The spending spree marks this super PAC’s largest flight of advertisements yet in the 2012 cycle. Most importantly for Democrats, the spots will help the party stay competitive on the air in races where Republicans already reserved a significant amount of ad space.

This spot targets Rep. Dan Lungren (R) in the Sacramento market in California’s 7th district. The cost for this spot is shared with the Service Employees International Union, according to House Majority PAC.

This spot targets Rep. Steve King (R) in the Des Moines and Sioux City markets in Iowa’s 4th district:

This spot targets state Sen. David Rouzer (R) in the Wilmington market in North Carolina’s 7th district. Rouzer is challenging Rep. Mike McIntyre (D).

This spot will target Rep. Nan Hayworth (R) in the New York City media market in the Empire State’s 18th district:

This spot targets Rep. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio) in the Charleston, Wheeling and Youngstown markets in Ohio’s 6th district:

Finally, this spot targets freshman Rep. Sean Duffy (R) in the Wausau media market, part of Wisconsin’s 7th district:

A spokesman for House Majority PAC declined to provide an exact breakdown of how much the group spent in each district.
