Colorado: Poll Shows Narrow Lead for Scott Tipton

A new poll shows Democratic challenger Sal Pace in a close race with Rep. Scott Tipton (R) in Colorado’s 3rd district, according to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The poll, conducted by the Democratic firm Grove Insight, showed Tipton leading with 42 percent, while Pace was at 39 percent.

“After voting to end Medicare’s guaranteed benefits and choosing to give tax breaks to millionaires over protecting Colorado’s seniors, it’s no surprise Congressman Scott Tipton would be in this much trouble,” the DCCC’s Stephen Carter said in a press release announcing the poll numbers.  “Coloradans will fire Congressman Tipton in November because he only looks out for the interests of millionaires and big corporations instead of Colorado seniors, families, and jobs.”

Earlier this week, Pace released his third TV ad highlighting the support of the steelworkers union.
