With the brunt of the D.C. reporting corps off doing its journalistic duty in Danville, Ky., former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday night slipped over to Rasika West End to commemorate their 37th wedding anniversary.

Our tipster said the pre-eminent first couple popped by the tony Indian restaurant around 6:30 p.m. and spent two hours enjoying the fruits of award-winning chef Vikram Sunderam’s labors. No word on what the now-vegan “42” or his globe-trotting missus ordered; had we been invited to partake, we would have lobbied for the mustard-spiked cauliflower, garlicky spinach and curried lentils for Bill, while tempting Hillary with zesty Goan shrimp, cardamom-spiced lamb chops and chili-olive naan.

The Clintons are no strangers to the Rasikaverse. Bill made his way to the newest location just weeks after the spin-off debuted (late March), while Hillary was spotted years ago at the original Penn Quarter pad.
