Holmes Norton Deletes Questionable, Misspelled Tweets

D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton has deleted some tweets sent during last night’s presidential debate that included suggestive references, as well as misspellings of President Barack Obama’s name.

But have no fear; the Sunlight Foundation’s Politwoops has come in handy to give us a record of the tweets in question.

The deleted tweets include:

Norton’s press secretary, Scott McCrary, confirmed the tweets were sent by the Congresswoman herself.

“It was her,” McCrary said in an email. “We had to delete them this morning because they were accidentally posted to her official House twitter account, instead of her campaign account.”

HOH followed up with McCrary to ask about the misspellings and what Norton meant by some of the terms she used but we’ve yet to receive a response.
