Anthony Weiner Volunteers in Aftermath of Superstorm Sandy
You can take the man out of public service, but you can’t take the public servant out of the man.
After shunning the limelight since resigning after his 2011 Twitter scandal, former Rep. Anothony Weiner (D-N.Y.) might be making some overtures to the public. Ever since superstorm Sandy hit his native New York, and particularly parts of his old district in Rockaway Beach, Queens, Weiner has been out calling attention to what happened and lending a helping hand.
“He’s quietly been volunteering there since the storm,” Aiello told HOH in an email.
On Wednesday, Weiner broke his 17-month Twitter silence when he tweeted a YouTube clip detailing the devastation in the Rockaways.
