Debbie Wasserman Schultz Hints About Softball Recruitment

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., tipped her hand Monday about her plans for the next Congress.

For softball, that is.

The Democratic National Committee chairwoman, who does triple duty as a co-captain of the Congressional Women’s Softball team, tweeted out the names of several new female Members-elect, along with her fellow co-captains — Sens. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, R-Mo.

The one who escaped previous notice is Sen.-elect Deb Fischer, R-Neb. A Cornhusker State source emailed, “She is ferocious competitor. Be very afraid.”

When asked if her tweet was an official confirmation of 2013 recruits, Wasserman Schultz tweeted:
