Missouri Staffers Get to Celebrating (Bipartisan Style)

Thanksgiving may still be a few days away, but that did not stop the regional staffs for Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill and Republican Sen. Roy Blunt from gathering ’round the table Monday for a friendly feast.

A McCaskill aide confirmed that the bipartisan gathering took place at the Kansas City home of her regional director and that the group dined on fillet of beef, roasted potatoes and salad.

“Just a casual bipartisan get-together before Thanksgiving,” a Blunt aide said of the inaugural event.

Neither McCaskill nor Blunt took part in the low-key lovefest.
