Update, 7:03 p.m. | Transplants from the Pacific Northwest can indulge in tastes of home on Friday at Eastern Market during the annual “Go West Beer Fest.”

The all-inclusive party (7 p.m.-10 p.m. in the North Hall; $25 per person) is being orchestrated by the Montana, Oregon and Washington state societies, three obviously concerned tastemakers interested in reconnecting their displaced constituents with familiar comforts.

No word on which brew-loving members of Congress might pop by, but confidence is high partygoers will somehow find a way to soldier on with or without them.

At press time, the Oregon State Society still had a few tickets (oregonstatesociety.org/the-go-west-beer-fest). But an aide warned the event was dangerously close to capacity.

Update, 7:03 p.m.

Tickets for the event have sold out.
