K Street Files: Defense, Tax Aides Join McBee

McBee Strategic Consulting has added four new executive vice presidents to its team: Ted Anderson, a former Pentagon official; Bruce Holmes, a retired Navy SEAL; Chelsea Henderson, an ex-policy adviser to former Sen. John Warner, R-Va.; and Dawn Levy O’Donnell, a former Democratic aide on the Senate Finance Committee.

“These additions to our team represent another important step forward in the vision to provide the most comprehensive suite of consultancy services in Washington,” said Steve McBee, CEO of McBee Strategic.

Although McBee Strategic’s federal lobbying revenue has declined over the past year — a trend among nearly all of the top firms — the shop has grown in non-lobbying areas such as communications, McBee said.

The firm recently added the PR outfit Gibraltar Associates to create McBee|Gibraltar.

As for the new hires, Anderson was with the office of legislative liaison for the secretary of the Army, while Holmes most recently served as the science and technology adviser at the Naval Special Warfare Command.

Henderson was a partner at Vela Environmental, and Levy O’Donnell, a former lobbyist with Cassidy & Associates, operates her own firm, D-Squared Tax Strategies.
