Honda Looks to Tap Into the ‘In Crowd’

Democratic Rep. Michael M. Honda’s California constituents will have a big say in what the congressman’s new website will look like.

Honda’s office announced last week that the congressman is redesigning his constituent website and will use crowdsourcing to receive design submissions and choose the final product.

“It is my hope that this initiative further democratizes the way we interact with the public, interfacing not only with our constituents, but with the design community in general,” Honda said in a release.

But professional Web designers have another way of looking at it: It’s cheap and it shows.

The deadline for designs is Valentine’s Day. Give it some love!
