McCaskill Goes Gaga

Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill let her “senator monster” loose this past weekend, banding together with family and friends to catch a Lady Gaga show in St. Louis.

“Not so little, but kinda old monsters going to @LadyGaGa tonight in STL. Me, Joe, Sis, & Br in law, ages from 59 to 75. #youngatheart,” McCaskill alerted her Twitter peeps in anticipation of the flamboyant performer’s “Born This Way Ball World Tour” at the Scottrade Center.

McCaskill’s office did not respond to inquiries regarding her level of fandom or what she thought of this particular show.

Fellow fan “L.M.A.” was still aglow after the show.

“This concert was so amazing. I loved seeing everyone be themselves and be proud. You are an inspiration to a lot of people. Government Hooker package was worth every dollar I payed for. We made eye contact, and I knew you believed in who I am. I love you Madre,” L.M.A. gushed online.

Gaga, who last flexed her political muscle by headlining an invite-only, post-inaugural concert for President Barack Obama’s campaign staff in D.C., previously lent her support to POTUS by attending a campaign fundraiser in September 2011.

The equality-minded entertainer also called on Congress, via a YouTube appeal, to lift the polarizing “don’t ask, don’t tell” ban in 2010.
