Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., heads to Decatur House on Thursday to help host an event launching a publicity tour for “Stuck,” a new documentary film about international adoption. Landrieu is a founder of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption and co-chairwoman of the Congressional Care Caucus. She adopted her two children domestically. Her husband, Frank Snellings, was adopted from Ireland by his family when he was 5.

Landrieu was recently on a congressional delegation to South Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia (Feb. 16-23) that focused on children’s welfare and was involved in discussions about international adoption there, according to a Landrieu staff member.

After the Decatur House reception, advocates will hop on a bus headed to 60 cities for one-night engagements of the film, followed by discussions about international adoption.

The reception at Decatur House (1610 H St. NW) starts at 2 p.m. Thursday. An RSVP is required.
