Today at a Glance: April 16, 2013
The Senate resumes consideration of a measure that would expand background checks to all gun sales and make it a federal crime to buy guns for people legally barred from owning them. Senators are currently debating an amendment to require background checks for sales in commercial settings, but not to all private sales, as called for in the underlying legislation.
