President Barack Obama will travel to his hometown of Chicago on Wednesday to fundraise for House Democratic campaign efforts in 2014.

He will headline two events for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the evening, according to information provided by a Democratic aide.

The first fundraiser will be at the Chicago Hilton, and the guest list includes House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, DCCC Chairman Steve Israel of New York, House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, Illinois Sen. Richard J. Durbin and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a former chairman of the DCCC. Tickets will range from $1,000 per person to $5,000 per couple.

The following Illinois Democrats are also scheduled to attend: Reps. Cheri Bustos, Bill Foster, Robin Kelly and Bobby L. Rush.

Later in the evening, Obama will attend another fundraiser for the DCCC at the home of Bettylu and Paul Saltzman. Bettylu Saltzman, a Democratic activist, introduced Obama to his top strategist, David Axelrod, in the early 1990s, according to The New York Times.

Axelrod, Pelosi, Hoyer, former Obama chief of staff William M. Daley, Reps. Sander M. Levin of Michigan and Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois are scheduled to attend the second event. Tickets will range between $10,000 and $32,000.

Two months ago, Obama raised $3.2 million for the committee on a trip to San Francisco.
