Frager’s Hardware Gets Hand From D.C. Jazz Fest, Hill Center

The Capitol Hill community continues to fan out in support of the employees and owners of Frager’s Hardware, the neighborhood landmark that suffered a devastating fire on Wednesday.

On June 12, Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital (921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) and the D.C. Jazz Festival will host a benefit for the Friends of Frager’s fund. At 7 p.m., Hill Center will host a free discussion with Washington-based composer/drummer Nasar Abadey, leader of the jazz group SUPERNOVA. At 8 p.m., Abadey will perform for a ticketed crowd ($15 in advance, $20 at the door), and proceeds from the performance will go to the Frager’s crew.
