Rock & Roll Hotel’s Primo Show

Rock & Roll Hotel has a sweet gig tonight, with three D.C. bands that are producing some great music.

Paperhaus, the Petworth-based quartet, headlines the event at 1353 H Street NE, with doors opening at 8 p.m. and the show at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10. Shark Week and Young Rapids open things up.

The nice thing about all three bands, and the venue that’s hosting them, is they show further evidence that D.C.’s music culture is a living thing that continues to grow. Washingtonians can take pride in local bands and venues like these. But honestly, if they were from Los Angeles or Cleveland or Louisville, or if this club were in Detroit or Brooklyn or Austin, it would be worth checking out:
