Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooks has named James C. “Jim” Bradley, a former staffer on the Joint Committee on Printing, to serve as her second-in-command at the Government Printing Office.

Bradley spent 14 years on the committee before he joined the GPO in 1996.

During his tenure with the GPO, he continued to work with Congress as the liaison for production in digital and print formats of the daily Congressional Record, Senate and House bills, reports, hearings and other documents.

“Jim’s experience in Federal printing and information policy issues is unrivaled,” Vance-Cooks said in a statement announcing her pick for deputy public printer. “He is a natural leader with a proven record of success in managing GPO’s operations to meet the critical needs of Congress and federal agencies.”

In his most recent role at the GPO, Bradley served as assistant public printer for operations, with oversight of all the GPO’s revenue areas. He also spent 10 years leading the agency’s customer service department.

Bradley brings more than 40 years of printing and information policy experience to his new position. He has also worked in printing for the Department of Energy and operations for the IRS.

Bradley holds a bachelor’s degree in printing management, with a minor in business administration, from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
