Pelosi on Eric Garner Case: ‘All Lives Matter’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi opened Friday’s news conference with a statement about recent grand jury decisions in the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases, expressing her support for peaceful protests and for President Barack Obama’s response to both cases.

“Our thoughts, our prayers, our hopes are with the families,” Pelosi said. “I support President Obama’s recent call for measures to increase trust between law enforcement and communities and Attorney General [Eric H.] Holder’s call for federal investigations. It’s very sad. All lives matter.”
