U.S. Secret Service Director Joesph P. Clancy will testify during a joint committee hearing Tuesday on Capitol Hill, which is expected to focus on a recent Office of the Inspector General report, showing that Secret Service employees allegedly violated the Privacy Act and department policy by accessing Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s personal information. Sen. Thomas R. Carper, D-Del., told CQ Roll Call he was amazed at the ability of the agency to handle high-profile details domestically “flawlessly,” but at the same time “screws up when it comes to some of these boneheaded stunts.”
