Word on the Hill: Where to Watch Tonight’s Debate

Top spots on the Senate and House side

Let’s get ready to rumble.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton square off on the national stage for one last time before the election. The debate takes place at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas at 9 p.m. Eastern time. And, as usual, it will run for 90 minutes without commercials.

Here’s where to watch with fellow political junkies:

Senate side

Union Pub: Red or Blue buckets of beer (Budweiser/Bud Light) for $12.50; Old Overholt, Redemption, Dickel and Jim Bean Rye whiskeys for $4. (201 Massachusetts Ave. NE)

House side

Capitol Lounge: “Red vs. Blue” beer specials and look out for Trump and Clinton impersonators. (231 Pennsylvania Ave. SE)

Tortilla Coast: Happy hour all night and a few giveaways through the evening. (400 First St. SE)

Off the Hill

Barrel: The downstairs section of this bar has been temporarily transformed into the Trump Elixir Bar. Trump-themed cocktails named after Trump quotes will be served. For example, “I beat China all the time. All the time!” is made with baiju, pineapple, mint, lemon, sugar and Chinese five spice powder. Stoney’s on L: Join the American Constitution Society, the Political Law Society, the Public Speaking and Debate Society and the ACLU to watch the debate, food provided. (2101 L St. NW)
