Word on the Hill: O Christmas Tree
’Tis the season for holiday parties
Congress is back and it’s officially holiday season.
At 10 a.m. today, the architect of the Capitol will accept the 2016 Capitol Christmas Tree, which comes from the Payette National Forest in Idaho.
The tree will arrive at the West Front of the Capitol along First Street Northwest. Watch for HOH’s coverage on Tuesday.

The D.C. premiere of “Jackie,” a biographical drama about former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in the days immediately following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, is Thursday at the Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, at 7:30 p.m. A reception is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. and a Q&A with actress Natalie Portman and director Pablo Larrain follow the screening.
