Open to staffers:Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 134 Duddington Place SE. RSVP: kgluba@aii.org. The group is encouraging all House and Senate staffers to join them “for a few hard or soft drinks and holiday cheer.”

Staffers welcome, but not guaranteed entrance:Sound Exchange, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at The Hamilton, 600 14th St. NW. RSVP: events@soundexchange.com. “It’s sure to be a memorable night filled with food, drink, dancing and entertainment from Jump Street Band,” the invite says.

Good luck getting in: Hamilton Place Strategies & Smithsonian, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Renwick, 1661 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. Invite-only. It’s usually hard to get on the list for events hosted by the Smithsonian, but going to a party at the Renwick might be worth a try.
