NASCAR driver Danica Patrick will be on Capitol Hill today for a meet and greet to promote life insurance’s role in American’s lives.

The event, hosted by the Financial Security and Life Insurance Caucus, is at 1:30 p.m. in the Cannon House Office Building, Room 121.

Former Sen. Dirk Kempthorne, R-Idaho, also a former governor and Interior secretary, will emcee the event. Kempthorne is president of the American Council of Life Insurers.

You can take a photograph with the trailblazing race car driver and snack on some Georgetown Cupcakes. No RSVP required.

Pence has a rabbit named Marlon Bundo

Vice President Mike Pence tweeted a photograph of his pet rabbit, Marlon Bundo, on Tuesday, saying the furry friend was making his first appearance in the White House. He first tweeted: “Looking forward to hosting military spouses & families in honor of Military Appreciation Month & an early Military Spouse Appreciation Day.”

Then, he added that Bundo will also be present at the event.
