Monday’s House Tax Bill Markup Is Crunch Time for GOP

Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, the chair of the House Ways and Mean Committee and the chief writer of the House GOP tax overhaul plan, on Monday will lead a markup session that may include some concessions on property tax caps. But Roll Call House reporter Lindsey McPherson says Brady doesn’t plan to revise his plan to eliminate most state and local tax deductions.
