Downtown Washington, D.C., has a network of bike lanes, but there is there is a glaring gap at Louisiana Avenue near the Capitol.
Unlike other city streets, Louisiana Avenue is under the control of the Architect of the Capitol. And while the AOC is on board with building a protected bike lane, that would require removing a block of parking for Senate staffers. And the Senate Sergeant at Arms objects.
