One week before the Global Climate Strike descends on Washington, several groups including Fridays for Future DC, Youth Climate Strike DC and Zero Hour gathered for a strike of their own.

Congregating and marching around the Ellipse on Friday, a crowd made up of children and adults — estimated at 700 to 800 strong by Zero Hour advocacy director Ethan Wright — marched within view of the White House South Lawn to demand action on climate change.
