Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand remains in an extremely strong position to be elected to her first full term, according to a new survey. A Siena College poll released today found that 51 percent of registered New York voters had a favorable opinion of the Democrat, while only 25 percent held an unfavorable opinion. Gillibrand did even better when those surveyed were asked whether they would vote to re-elect her: 54 percent said yes, 28 percent said they would prefer someone else and 18 percent didn't know.
