Restoration Society to Hold Planning Forum

After a brief business meeting, the Capitol Hill Restoration Society will present a forum on a planning commission for the District of Columbia tonight at 8 p.m. at the Old Naval Hospital, 921 Pennsylvania Ave. SE.

Chaired by CHRS City Planning Committee Chairman Dick Wolf, the forum will bring together planning authorities from the private and public sector, as well as from local think tanks. Panelists include: Julie Wagner, the Office of Planning’s deputy director for long-range planning; the Brooking Institution’s David Garrison; and professor Dorn McGrath Jr.

Homeland Security Dialogue Tonight

The Intergenerational Dialogue for Homeland Security will hold a forum at 6:30 p.m. tonight at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, located at 118 Third St. SE, to discuss the need for recovery and rebalance in light of ongoing concerns about terrorism.
