Ed Henry Moving to CNN

Roll Call Senior Editor Ed Henry, longtime author of the Heard on the Hill column, has accepted an offer to become a Congressional correspondent for CNN.

Henry will leave Roll Call and begin his duties at CNN in mid-April.

“These eight years at Roll Call have been the finest time of my professional life, especially working with the terrific people who put together the finest newspaper on Capitol Hill,” said Henry, 32. “It has been particularly gratifying to see Roll Call grow in stature and expand from twice to four times per week during my tenure.”

Henry added, “I know that Roll Call will continue to thrive under the leadership of Editor Tim Curran, whose friendship has meant so much to me personally. And I am thrilled at the opportunity to work at CNN, which truly sets the standard for political coverage among the television networks.”

Curran announced that Associate Editor John Bresnahan will take an interim stewardship of Heard on the Hill column in mid-April.
