Where’s the Beef?

While beef is what’s for dinner, it’s now also the reason behind the newly organized House Beef Caucus.[IMGCAP(1)]

Reps. Bob Beauprez (R-Colo.) and Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.) have extended an invitation to their colleagues to join a caucus they claim will “elevate awareness of issues that impact the beef and cattle industry,” according to a release. Both Members consider a caucus necessary to focus on issues of animal health, food safety, international trade and economic viability.

For those who thought their college days were over, cattle-minded Members and staff can attend the caucus’ “Congressional Cattlemen’s College,” which will educate participants about “the various aspects of ranching and beef production in our country.”
