Nadler: Where It All Began

“This is the flyer from my 1973 primary race for Democratic district leader in an Upper West Side assembly district,” said Rep. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.). “It was the lowest race on the ballot, but of course it meant the world to me — and that year was the first time that I won election by a significant margin. I keep the flyer on the wall of my office because it reminds me of those great early days — and the principles that inspired me to enter politics.”
