The Same, Yet Different

[IMGCAP(1)]The Iwo Jima Memorial in Arlington, Va., ranks among the most recognizable places in the Washington, D.C., area, right up there with the Capitol Dome, the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. Therefore, we could never use the statue across the river for the Lost & Found feature. However, we did come across a reproduction of the memorial, one that can be found within the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Next week, we’ll tell you just where it is. [IMGCAP(2)]

Because Roll Call’s publishing schedule matches the Congressional calendar, it’s been a few weeks since we showed you the photo at left. We asked you to identify not the subject of the photo (too easy), but rather the location from which it was taken. And now, the answer: The Statue of Freedom is seen through a window in Statuary Hall.
