[IMGCAP(1)] Looking swell, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet greets the crowd on the West Lawn of the Capitol last week, shortly after receiving the Congressional Gold Medal from President Bush and Congressional leaders. “This recognition will bring tremendous joy and encouragement to the Tibetan people, for whom I have a special responsibility,” the Tibetan spiritual leader told Members of Congress after receiving the medal. “Their welfare is my constant motivation and I always consider myself as their free spokesperson.”
