New Mexico: Udall Stumps State After Formally Entering Race

Rep. Tom Udall (D) officially launched his Senate bid last week, barnstorming the Land of Enchantment with stops in nine cities over a three-day period.

Udall, who is vacating his 3rd district seat to run for Senate, is facing Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chávez in the Democratic primary. The winner of that race, which Udall is heavily favored to win, will take on the winner of the GOP primary, which pits 1st district Rep. Heather Wilson versus 2nd district Rep. Steve Pearce.
