Missouri: President Appearing at Fundraiser for Graves

President Bush will be in suburban Kansas City on Feb. 1, raising money for Rep. Sam Graves (R), who is locked in a tough re-election battle with popular former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes (D).

Graves, who has raised nearly $950,000 this cycle according to Federal Election Commission records, enlisted Vice President Cheney for a Kansas City area fundraiser late last year.

Graves had roughly $750,000 in cash going into the last fundraising quarter of 2007, compared with Barnes, who had almost $580,000 on hand.
