Texas: Democrats Focus Early on Redistricting Fight

The Lone Star State’s Democratic House delegation was scheduled at Wednesday’s delegation luncheon to be briefed on redistricting by representatives of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

According to an e-mail sent out by the office of Rep. Chet Edwards, Russ Tidwell and Tommy Townsend of the TTLA were scheduled to deliver a “political briefing” on the Texas House of Representatives and Congressional redistricting.

Nowhere has the drawing of Congressional boundaries been more contentious than in Texas over the past several years.
