JetBlue Lands in Washington

Airline JetBlue has hired its second lobbyist and opened its first government affairs office in D.C. on Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest.

[IMGCAP(1)]Jeffrey Goodell, the airline’s new director of government affairs, joined JetBlue from travel company Sabre Holdings Corp.

Goodell will report to Robert Land, who had been the only lobbying voice for JetBlue, including during the aftermath of last year’s Valentine’s Day snafu when hundreds of passengers were stuck aboard airliners grounded at John F. Kennedy International Airport for more than 10 hours.

Goodell also previously worked at the Airports Council International and as chief of staff for then-Rep. William Lipinski (D-Ill.).
